Multiple endocrine neoplasia

Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia (MEN) arises in endocrine organs such as the pancreas, thyroid, parathyroid, pituitary and adrenal glands.

The aim of this Pearl is to design and implement a national network with a leading international profile for clinical care and research. Due to the need for specific expertise and multidisciplinary collaboration for patients with both benign and malignant endocrine tumours health care for these patients takes place chiefly in the UMC's.

The Pearl results in, among others, insight into the effects of health care, whereby health care can be continually renewed and improved. The scientific goal is to initiate and stimulate high quality scientific research.
